A family-run operation, the Allanwater Cafe has been open since 1902 in Bridge of Allan. The Bechelli family are most well known for their chip shop specialties as well as their homemade ice cream. Before noon you can enjoy a traditional full breakfast, veggie breakfast, breakfast rolls or filled rolls. After noon you can partake in the daily catch, with a variety of fish and chip combinations, savoury puddings, pies, jacket potatoes or burgers. Ice cream is available by the scoop, in a waffle cone or atop a hot chocolate fudge cake. Some of their most popular flavours are Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple, Strawberry, Chocolate, Toffee Fudge, Cookies & Cream, Mint Choc Chip, and Ferrero Rocher and can also be enjoyed as a milkshake. On Mondays the cafe uses a gluten-free batter so that those who adhere to such a diet can still enjoy their stellar fish and chips.

Absolutely lovely fish and chips. It was quiet, clean and the meals were delivered with excellent service. Really like the gluten free batter on a Monday night.
